Liquid Face Lift

A Liquid Lift is the use of soft tissue fillers to enhance midface and cheek volume, reestablishing a youthful appearance without surgery. Liquid lifts are a LiquidFaceLiftminimally invasive alternative to a facelift. Instead of undergoing surgery, this less invasive treatment is completed in a short amount of time under local anesthesia. The most common soft tissue fillers used for this procedure include Restylane® Juvederm®, and Sculptra®, which are selected depending on your skin type, medical history, and the look you desire to achieve.

What are the Advantages of having the Liquid Lift vs Traditional Face Lift?

The greatest advantage of the Liquid Lift versus a traditional Face Lift is the improvement in the appearance of lines, wrinkles and loss of facial volume. All these advantages can be achieved without facial surgery. The use of dermal fillers to obtain a more youthful appearance is a less invasive option available to you. Another advantage of a Liquid Face Lift is the beautiful natural looking result.

How is this done?

Dr. Edwin Ishoo uses the appropriate filler to create volume and fill in various sunken, depressed areas of the face. It is excellent for correcting aging of the face and loss of volume in the cheeks, brows, tear trough, nasolabial folds, lips, acne pits and scars and underneath the jaw line. There is no donor site risk as the filler material is available in sterile syringes, ready for injection into the cheeks, jaw line, lips, brows, eye lids, smile lines (nasolabial folds) and sad lines (marionette lines).

What to Expect from Liquid Lift procedure?

The procedure will take about one hour, depending on the volume of filler needed. Since the procedure is minimally invasive, only local anesthesia or no anesthesia at all is necessary. While there may be a temporary stinging or burning sensation, this usually dissipates in a short amount of time. Risks are uncommon, but may include swelling, bruising, infection, allergic reaction, or irregularities in the skin’s contour. Volume replacement may need to be repeated every 4-6 months to maintain the results.
